Prompted by the ebook reissues, I've been rereading Alis Rasmussen/Kate Elliott's sf novels, the Jaran novels and the Highroad trilogy. I'd forgotten just how much I like this kind of thing -- different human cultures, alien species, space opera, daily life on other planets.
